“The Global Partnership Monitoring: Fit for the Road to 2030?”

Bonn, 10 & 11 May 2019

50+ participants from over 12 countries met in Bonn for two days to discuss the perspectives for the Global Partnership Monitoring exercise in light of recent experiences during the monitoring round 2018. During the hands-on discussions on data collection, data quality and effective use of results, practitioners from partner country governments, donor headquarters, civil society and trade unions identified strengths as well as challenges of the current Monitoring approach. Moreover, the dialogue provided space to analyse the potentials of the Global Partnership Monitoring within the contemporary global landscape by considering international developments ever since Busan (2011) and with regard to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
