This learning series starts with the fundamental question of why foreign investment matters for development. The investment reform map is the framework to lay out the vision and strategy. The Investment Policy & Promotion team of the Investment Climate Practice Group under the World Bank Group's Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice introduces practical tools developed to assess a country's investment policy needs, to design solutions and to implement reforms. By combining these tools, a government may tailor the right policy mix to suit a country's particular needs. The series has six modules: Why Foreign Investment Matters; Investment Incentives; Investment Promotion; Investment Entry; Why Investment Protection Matters; and Investment Linkages.
