Panama's strategies, objectives, and instruments of international co-operation within the framework of the SDGs

Panama has made the strategic decision to place co-operation in the foreign policy sphere. Therefore, there are factors that facilitate the establishment of a new strategic orientation of cooperation for the country, reflected in an Official International Cooperation Policy based on a national vision of Panama's identity as an actor in the cooperation scene and guiding principles for its implementation.

The elaboration and future implementation of this policy will take the form of a set of development objectives, articulated through a series of priority lines of action grouped by thematic axes, including cross-cutting actions relevant to several objectives, which are aligned with national (referring to the Strategic Government Plan) and international (SDGs) priorities.

Together, these elements of strategy, operational and instrumental elements form the basis of the new National Cooperation Plan of the Republic of Panama (PNC, in Spanish).
