The CGSLB, Liberal Trade Union of Belgium, previous development cooperation program 2012-2016 as executed by the Movement for International Solidarity, and co-funded by the Belgian Minister of Development cooperation, aimed to strengthen trade unions in Africa to promoted the ILO Decent Work Agenda for vulnerable workers. 


The scope covers the building of Trade Union organizations capacities to, better work together on a regional basis (Burkina Faso), integrate the voice of the informal workers within the trade union structures (Burundi), establishment inter-syndical cooperation to help the informal workers (Senegal), development of an international policy for a trade union, and the use of trade union alliances in Africa (South-Africa).


The results are five good practice case studies with concrete attention to the success factors in each of the examples. Form each case we learned that sharing of information is a key element in building dialogue among the different actors.
