Why is effectiveness at subnational level important?
Action Area 2.6: Strengthening development effectiveness at subnational level to achieve the SDGs
Regions, cities, municipalities, local and regional governments play an instrumental role in implementing the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. However, they face critical challenges in doing so, such as having the necessary institutional capacity and frameworks, aligning development planning with the SDGs, and coordinating and guiding different actors working on the ground, among others. The Global Partnership offers a space for dialogue and knowledge sharing on how to overcome these challenges with state and non-state actors.
