The third meeting of the Global Partnership Steering Committee took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 25-26 July, 2013. The aim of this Third Steering Committee meeting was to prepare the first High-level meeting of the Global Partnership, which will be held in 2014.
Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Chair of the African Union Commission hosted the meeting, which began with a special session on Africa. This session discussed African priorities for the Global Partnership and development co-operation more broadly, in the run up to the first ministerial-level meeting and beyond. Steering Committee members developed a vision and agenda for the first Global Partnership Ministerial-level meeting and a political vision for the Global Partnership within the broader context of the post-2015 development agenda. They also took stock of progress in implementing the Global Partnership Principles.
